Ivor Spencer

The famous Robb Report Magazine in the United States said,

"Kings and Queens adhere to his prescribed protocol. CEOs heed his personnel advice. Celebrities applaud the talents of his household staff. In matters domestic, Ivor Spencer is the major general of major domos.

Ivor Spencer established his school in January 1981 for individuals who are not to the manners born yet who wish to dedicate their lives to the performance of domestic service. At the Ivor Spencer International School for Butler Administrators/Personal Assistants in London, Spencer personally trains men and occasionally women, ages 17 to 65 in the white-gloved ways of domestic service. A professional toastmaster and master of ceremonies for forty years, he is an expert on etiquette in the British tradition."

Spencer's butlers and housemen enjoy distinguished careers. Some go on to private service in the employ of royalty or wealthy individuals. Others have found gratifying positions serving many employers, butlers in world-renowned hotels and corporate headquarters. They are at your service, ever ready to perform their duties at dawn or during the remains of the day.

The school is proud that David Morgan trained at my school, was Head Butler at the famous St. Regis Hotel in New York in charge of 28 butlers. He was made a manager of the hotel .

For information about the school and an application form please send name and address, and 6 international postal vouchers.

I have been thinking of how best to make my testimony worthy of your skills as teacher and inspirer of first-class Butler / Administrator and I came to the humble conclusion that the best had been re - iterated before and what I should do is urge that the new crops of the lucky people to be trained by you to read and pay close attention to your description of their duties and demands and expectations.

I am sure therein lies the success of your international school. I wish it continuous good luck and prosperity. In this business we are in - you and I and a good deal of our friends and colleagues, people like you are in perpetual need to give true meaning to the word good service - and to dignify it, beyond compare.

All good wishes my friend

Since the Ivor Spencer International School for Butler Administrators/ Personal Assistants was established more than twenty years ago, other schools in America and England have tried to copy but have failed and many have closed down. In fact, one so-called school in the United States recently sent one graduate to a position as Butler and engaged another as house-manager for an American employer. But I was flown out by this employer to retrain these people. So it just goes to show the very poor standards of other schools, in particular this so-called school.

Since 1981 The Ivor Spencer International School for Butler Administrators and Personal Assistants has sent its very highly trained people worldwide to very discerning employers, although many of the Spencer Butlers come from all walks of life and are sophisticated, university educated and speak many languages. Mr Spencer teaches them never to be pompous or snobs, but to be nice people.

The American employers in particular are most comfortable with our Butlers, and the proof of this is that butlers working for American families between 1 and 22 years are still working with them.

WARNING - May I suggest to prospective students to check-out so-called Schools including my own before parting with your fee.

WARNING - To employers that contemplate hiring Butlers - It has been found in the last few years that agencies worldwide have sent so-called Butlers to clients saying they have been trained by The Ivor Spencer International School, when in fact they have not. And employers should ask to see our Diploma and to contact us for verification.
